It gives us immense pleasure to proclaim that National High School, Dapoli, founded in 1940, has the distinction of being the first Urdu medium High School in the Konkan Region after Raees High School, Bhiwandi, and we feel proud of its achievements and look forward with the hope and confidence to utilize this institution as the means to serve the community. And we are also very glad to make it publically known that our achievements are undoubtedly the result of co-operation received from our well-wishers.

The first batch of National High School appeared for matriculation examination in the year 1943 and since then there has been no looking back as our Institution has progressed with leaps and bounds, and today it can boast of educating more than 1000 community students. In the efforts to expand its activities, the society started a high school at Latwan in 1962 and later on its management was handed over to the local committee. We have also started an Urdu medium high school at Harnai in 1986. Among our prominent accomplishments, we have started a composite Jr. College of Science, Commerce & Arts in 2004. For us, it is an uphill task which we can achieve only with the co-operation and generous contribution from the cross-sections of our society.

We are immensely indebted to the founder president, Late Janab khan Bahadur Munir Khan Sarguroh who sacrificed himself for the noble cause of education, particularly in founding the then Anglo-Urdu high school, which has now been renamed as National High School, Dapoli.
